Rodney “Hot Rod” Cliff Irwin 

Hot Rod was born in Fallen, Nevada July 17th, 1957 and he was raised in Redding, California where he attended Shasta High School.  After high school he worked managing several Kettle Pancake House’s in Texas and eventually moved back to Redding where he worked at a local lumber mill.

Hot Rod had two boys, Jakob and Daniel he raised them with his late wife Pauline and her daughter in Lewiston working at Trinity River Lumber.  Eventually they moved back to Redding, where he worked for North State Recycling. 

After Pauline passed away Hot Rod moved to Colorado Springs where Daniel was living after he left the Army. Daniel meant the world to Hot Rod.  He met Ramona in 2011 and they were happily married on September 23rd, 2012. Hot Rod became a Stepfather to Ramona’s five adult children Mike, Leslie, Rick, Becky and Ken. There was never a grandchild or child that he didn’t fall in love with.

In 2017, Hot Rod became a caregiver and “Uncle” to Julian and his five-week-old baby sister, Vivian.

Hot Rod’s love and memories will forever be cherished and missed by his family. His wife: Ramona Irwin. His son: Daniel Irwin. His Mother: Lois Streetman-Irwin. His siblings: Lavaun Palla, Marvin Irwin, and Lauren Brawley. 

Hot Rod passed away on November 28th, 2021.
