Gerda Imke, 94, of Monument, passed away on December 17, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Gerda was born on June 11, 1927 to Carl and Anna Orth in Flushing, New York. She grew up in New York and attended Bayside High School and graduated in 1945. She spent much of her life in New York and Massachusetts and moved to Colorado to be closer to Family in 2009.

In 1959 she married her husband, Gunther, after a 9-year courtship.  They were married for 47 years and had 1 child.

Gerda worked as an insurance broker in Manhattan. After retiring she became very active in the Acton Woman’s club where she was on the Ways and Means Committee Chair.

Gerda was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Anna, and her husband Gunther.  She is survived by her son Steven, grandsons Joshua Carl “Josh” Imke, Jonathan Henry “Hank” Imke & Justin Chermack (Step Grandson) and great grandson: Dominik Gunther Imke
