Karen Marie Olson passed away on September 25, 2021.  Mother of two children, Heather and Joshua, and wife of 39 years to Fred Olson, she dedicated her life to being the caretaker of the family home.  It was her greatest love and life’s work.

Growing up, she served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, along with teaching children, including her own.  She was funny and kind and sang all of her favorite songs every chance she could.  Her life was never easy, filled with many trials and tribulations, including the rare disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, that aggressively took her away.  But she found great joy and excitement over the little things.  The smell or look of a flower she was passing by.  The changing of the seasons in the trees, whether the yellows and reds of fall, or the bright pinks and purples of spring blooms on the branches.  She enjoyed the romance of a musical, and the singing and dancing, that when you looked over at her you saw made her smile with tears of joy in her eyes.

She dreamed big dreams, and though she didn’t accomplish many, she enjoyed the ride and her life as best she could with those who loved her most.  Karen had the biggest heart, capable of so much love.  There wasn’t any letting go.  She will be immeasurably missed.  The void she leaves now will be hard to fill.  We are thankful for the peace she now has, the pain that is finally gone, and the hope that she is singing and dancing while surrounded by the perfect flowers and trees that reside in heaven. We love you, Mama, we will do our best without you.
