Cyrus R. Cockrum (77) passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Cyrus was born in Vincennes, Indiana. Cyrus moved to Colorado Springs in1980.  He married the love of his life, Jean in 1983. Together they traveled and lived in various places while he was in the Army. They later settled back in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing golfing and long walks. He loved his family dearly and loved spending quality time with them all. 

Cyrus and Jean had nine children combined. He is survived by daughter Stephanie Bennett, son Glenn Aguilar (Lydia), daughter Kim Ginter (Craig), son Brian Aguilar, son Cliff Cockrum (Sara), daughter Karen Rouse (Tracy), son Jason Cockrum (Kim), son Darin Cockrum (Christy). They have 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Patricia  Hayden (Roger).

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Jean. His parents, Paul and Katherine Cockrum. His daughter, Terry Ann Lafayette. His siblings, Donald Cockrum and Jacqueline Stovall Cockrum.  His son-in-law, Tracy Rouse. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday October 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
