Herbert (Herb) Mosman was born on May 15, 1942, in Walden, Colorado, and went to the big fishing pond in the sky April 15, 2021. Herb is survived by his wife, Annette Mosman, of 27 years, two sons Pat Mosman and Chip Mosman (deceased), grandchildren Jesse Mosman and Zachary Mosman, and two great grandchildren.

Herb worked in sheet metal for thirty years before retiring in in 1997. He hung up his tools and ladders in exchange for a fifth-wheel trailer and began full-time RVing. Herb and Annette traveled many places and met a lot of new friends during this new life, until settling down in San Antonio Texas for ten years. Herb was an avid fly fisherman all his life and truly enjoyed the saltwater fishing and working in local fly shops. While in Texas, we found a little lost dachshund running down the road, and that was the beginning of our love of dachshunds.

Herb’s wife, Annette, was offered a job in Colorado Springs and they moved back to Colorado in 2010. Herb had to learn to like freshwater fishing again, where the fish were smaller in size, but he managed to still enjoy his time on the water.

All of our dachsunds were adopted, and would love it if you would consider making donations to the Pikes Peak Humane Society of Colorado Springs in lieu of flowers https://www.hsppr.org/donate/.There will be a celebration of life this June in Colorado Springs. Additional details will be posted to this page when available.
