On Sunday, February 28th, 2021, Gail Sweet (Gottlieb-Bowen) – mother of four, sister, and caregiver to many, passed away from health-related complications at the age of 69. 

Gail was born on November 24, 1951 in Alpha, Ohio to Robert and Phyllis Urban. She graduated from Beaver Creek Highschool in 1970, and she was currently residing in Colorado Springs, Colorado and had spent the past few years of her life caring for others as a CNA. 

Gail had a passion for crafting, crocheting, and painting. She also loved her pets, Ginger who was her best friend for many years, and Ripley her little white Maltese. She was best known for her quirky sense of humor, ability to always dress to the occasion and beyond, and her affinity for collecting many things. 

Gail was preceded in death by her father, Bob, her mother, Phyllis, her older brother, Jim, younger sister, Lisa, and her niece, Marilyn. She is survived by her four children, Nathan Bowen (Otway, OH), Carrie Hutchison (Phoenix, AZ), Renee Fisk (Colorado Springs, CO), and Aaron Bowen (Wellston, OH), her younger brother, Phillip, eleven grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew.

Gail’s family will be honoring her wish to be cremated and will be handling this event privately.
