James Harold Kerr, age 72, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away November 14, 2020. James was a graduate of Eastridge High School of Chattanooga, Tennessee (1966), Carson Newman College of Jefferson City, Tennessee (1970), and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary of Fort Worth, Texas (1973). He pastored a church in West Virginia and several churches in Virginia. He served as a Christian Social Ministry Home Missionary in West Virginia and spent three years as a missionary in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil Lewis and Robbie Forester Kerr of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister, Cecilia Ann Kerr also of Chattanooga. He is survived by his former wife, Eugenie Henderson Kerr of Colorado Springs; his three daughters, Jamie Elizabeth (Keith) Weinstein of Richmond, Virginia, Julie Michelle Kerr of Oakland, California, and Jessica Leigh (Kyle) Barrington of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren Cole Garry and Zaiden Weinstein of Richmond, Virginia and Annabelle and Lucy Barrington of Colorado Springs, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation. Plans for a memorial service have not been finalized.
