Donna Mae Jacobs impacted the hearts of many by caring for her family and friends with her infectious charm and clever style. She loved to cook and organize gatherings. Coming from a musical family, she adored singing and dancing. Laughter and joy surrounded her wherever she went. She held great fondness for gardening and creating a unique environment for birds and wildlife. Her creations were admired by many. She excelled in her bowling league, and encouraged her children to do the same. She created a warm and safe home for her children and family to enjoy. She is predeceased by her six brothers: Elmer (Betty), Raymond, James, Leon, Merril (Rosie), and Eugene (Lorraine). As well as her five sisters: Honey (Elmer), Silvia (Paul), Lucy (Bob), Arlene (Lloyd), and Jean (Chuck). She shared her beautiful life with her deceased husbands’ Kurt Jacobs and Forrest McDonald. She lives on through her three children: Tammy (Kevin) Evert, Steve Jacobs, and Jenny (Jeff) Garsomke. She now joins her two sons Mark and David and granddaughter Janine Jacobs in heaven. She is fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren: Tamara (Tim) Bretzke, Brad (Dawn) Evert, John (Ashley) Jacobs, Jamie (Eric) Holshouser, Trinity Jacobs, Amber Taylor, Ashley, Autumn, and Adam Jacobs, Matthew and Jacob Garsomke. Her fifteen great grandchildren: Gus, Teddy, Elliot, Michelle, Ethan, Megan, Breyden, Amelia, Taylor, Aubrey, Trevion, Jesiyah, Anastasia, Xavier, and Amora will live on in her legacy.
A celebration of life will be available at a later date online. The family suggests memorials in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
