Donald Keith “Don” Morris

Don Morris, 67, passed away suddenly on the morning of October 4, 2020, at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Don was born in Great Bend, Kansas to Carl N. and Evelyn M. (Smith) Morris on May 13, 1953. He lived in Great Bend, Salina, and Hays, Kansas before moving to Colorado.

He leaves his wife of 47 years, Sheri Morris (nee Dietz), daughters Ashley (Evan) Mattie and Laura (Stephen) Horn; brothers Robert Morris and Gary (Karen) Morris; and his in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, and uncles. 

Don was a Master Electrician by trade doing construction, industrial work, and solar installation. A volunteer firefighter and an avid hunter and outdoorsman in his younger days, he was known by all to be a generous, thoughtful, and caring man and a talented musician and lover of music. He had a great sense of humor and never passed up an opportunity to laugh or make others laugh. He also loved children, animals, and being in the mountains of Colorado.

There will be no services in accordance with his wishes.
