Harold Lee “Bugsy” Blankenship, Jr. passed away suddenly of a short illness in Pueblo, CO on October 6, 2020. He was 70 years old. Bugsy was born February 18, 1950 in Louisville, KY and raised in Hampton, VA. He graduated from Kecoughtan High School in Hampton VA in 1968 and went to work for the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company and then for the Virginia Electric and Power Company.

Bugsy married Karen Elaine Johnson on February 8, 1970. They moved to Grand Junction, CO in 1973 where Bugsy completed his degree in Business Administration at Mesa College. Karen survives him, along with his two daughters, Jennifer Westhoff (Norman) and Amber Blankenship. He is survived by his father Harold Lee Blankenship, Sr., a sister Cherie, a brother Louis and a grandson, Keagan Westhoff. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Blankenship, a granddaughter Emily and his grandparents.

He loved music, reading, walking, the Denver Broncos and his family.
