Alicia Garza fell asleep in death on February 27th, 2020 in Colorado Springs surrounded by family and friends.

Alicia was born December 7, 1945 to David and Sophia Saldivar in Mathis, Texas.

Alicia met a Domingo Garza and they were married February 14, 1972. Shortly after, they moved to Greeley, Colorado where she stayed home to raise their two children, Domingo and Diana.

Anyone who knew her, appreciated that she was a very happy person and also loved to talk to people. Her friendly manner allowed her to become friends with many. She always had a positive attitude. She was fun and loved making people laugh. Later in life, Alicia enjoyed working as a cashier at a local grocery store. Alicia missed her loving husband Domingo and always remembered the times they shared together. She became a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness on May 11, 1997. She enjoyed sharing Bible truths with anyone she would meet. She cherished the time she spent with her spiritual family. Alicia spent a lot of time teaching her children about Jehovah and raised them to appreciate God’s word. She also enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, and with family and friends.

Alicia is survived by her son, Domingo (Mercedes) Garza, and daughter, Diana Carradero, her grandchildren, Andrea Garza and Alejandro Carradero. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rosario Saldivar of Snyder, Texas; brother-in-law Roberto Resio of Dallas, Texas; her siblings, Isabel (Rodolfo) Sanchez of Lubbock, Texas; Sylvia (George) Parsley of Salem, Indiana; Helen (Rick) Flores of Mathis, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Domingo B. Garza; her parents, David and Sophia Saldivar; brother, John Saldivar; sister, Concepción Resio.
