Sandra Kay Feezor

On June 18th, 2019, Sandra Feezor passed away surrounded by loving family.

Sandra was born October 23rd, 1943, in Ottuma, Iowa to her parents Lydia and Gilbert Corum, but considered her adopted home of Colorado as “God’s Country.” A rural farm girl never afraid to get her hands dirty, Sandra developed a strong determination and drive in all avenues of her life. No matter what she pursued, she did so with the utmost conviction that she would get it done. It was this very tenacity which made her a strong matriarch to her family, the central pillar upon which everyone else built around. She always supported her children and grandsons in all their endeavors with the same grit and gumption she approached her own goals. In the end she would sacrifice everything for her family.

Always the small town country girl at heart, Sandra romanced the Western world through her Values and hobbies. She loved family, nature, and the earth’s treasures. Her biggest hobbies involved cultivating the earth in some way, whether through gardening or by molding the ground itself into pottery. She was an avid collector of Native American art, inspirational patron and creator for craft and farmers markets, fan of old westerns, and adored animals of all shapes and sizes. Her love of children was so great that she operated her own home daycare even into her final days, proud to be adopted grandmother to hundreds.

She is survived by her younger brothers Dee Corum (Donna) and Lee Corum (Honey), her children Donald Feezor Jr. (Debra), D’Anna Houseman, and Nicole Colt (James), her stepson Mark Feezor, her grandsons Shane Houseman, Jeffrey Hardin (Aurora), and Jerred Houseman, and her great-grandson Maverick Hardin. She is preceded in death by her parents Lydia and Gilbert Corum, and her sister Patricia Bishop.

Sandra’s celebration of life will be held privately among the family. Her family asks that instead of bringing flowers, you make a donation to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
