Paulette Mark
It is with great sadness that the Dane family regrets to inform you that Paulette Caffey Mark, 72, a long time resident of Manitou Springs, passed away on February 3, 2019, in Manitou Springs.
Memorial services will be held 2 pm Saturday, March 2, 2019, in Manitou Springs at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Susie Merrin officiating. Paulette had been a member of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church dating back to the 1970s.
Paulette Caffey was born June 24, 1946, to Adah Brooks and Olson Caffey in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Denver South High School.
She proudly worked as a Maid for the Broadmoor Hotel for many years, where she was honored with frequent Employee of the Month awards.
Paulette will always be remembered for her love of animals, her loving, caring heart, her love of life, and her spirit of a wild stallion.
Paulette Mark is survived by adopted daughter Michelle Dane (Lloyd), brother and sister-in-law, David and Sharri Caffey, nephews Scott Paschall (Cindy), Barry Paschall, Ethen O’Brian (Bree) and family, granddaughter Kelly Dane, great-granddaughter April Ruggles, and last but not least, her beloved dog Jasmine.
Paulette Mark is preceded in death by husbands Willard E. Mark and Edward A. Reimund. Edward had been her husband for 40 years before he passed away in 2016. Her heart no longer aches for him, now that she is with him in heaven.
