Hervie Larry Blankenship went to be with the Lord on November 22 at the age of 85. He was born to Harold and Lettie Blankenship in Louisiana. He graduated from Eureka High School in CA. He served the Lord in the Salvation Army’s western territory for over 45 years. He was very involved in many church activities throughout his life.
He married Betty Lou and together they had 5 children. He was preceded in death by Betty Lou. He is survived by his children, son William and wife Sheri of Mississippi, daughter Elizabeth and husband John of Idaho, daughter Christina of California, son David of Hawaii and daughter Catherine of Colorado. His grandchildren Adam, August, Jeanette also affectionately known as m.o.g.d. ( my only granddaughter ) and husband Bill, Christian, Camden and wife Cassandra and Ryan. His great-grandchildren India, Geneva, Keegan, and Lily.
Remembrance gifts can be given to a Salvation Army red kettle in your area during the holiday season. The red kettle drive was very important to him.
