1968 ~ 2018

Timothy Steven Tomkus, age 50, Colorado Springs, CO went to be with his Lord in Heaven on July 28, 2018.

Tim was born to Charles and Judith (Moen) Tomkus, June 3, 1968, in Rockford, Illinois. The family later moved to Belvidere, IL.  It was at Belvidere HS that Tim developed his love for woodworking. He became an accomplished carpenter who went on to partner in TK2 Construction, and then worked as a journeyman for Carpenters Local 792, Rockford, IL.

In 2018 Tim and other family members moved to Colorado Springs, CO. He loved the scenery and was looking forward to taking advantage of the many things Colorado has to offer.

Tim was an avid sports enthusiast, all Chicago teams, especially the Bears, which he watched faithfully since the age of four. He played the drums and enjoyed rock music.

Tim was predeceased by his father, grandparents, two sisters and six aunts. He was loved by all who knew him and leaves behind his sons Ryan (Catt Garcia) and Blake Tomkus; mother Judith Carter;  brother Jake Tomkus; step-brother Ronnie Carter (Amy Bellone); former wife Tracy Tomkus; special aunt Jackie Moen, uncle, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Cremation is being handled by Alternative Cremation, Colorado Springs, CO. A memorial service, Until We Meet Again, will be held on August 25th at American Legion Club, South Alpine, Rockford, IL. Memorials to the family
