Judith Arlene Barton passed away on June 21st 2018 in her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born December 28th, 1951, the daughter of the late Ruby B. and Robert D. Kjorvestad. She was the oldest of 5 siblings.

She graduated from Widefield High School in Security, Colorado in 1970. She is a retired Civil Service worker. She worked with the records department for the U.S. Army and with the US Air Force. Judy loved working as a score keeper and records keeper with Rocky Mountain Sports Officials at Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force base, and the Air Force Academy.  She helped to officiate many sports events, from Baseball, Basketball, Football and Volleyball; that was her passion. Judy worked for several years with The United Way, and many other non-profit organizations as well as with the American Legion Auxiliary Post 38, providing her time and effort for Fund Raisers. She enjoyed playing Bingo, reading John Grisham & Steven King novels, doing crossword puzzles, cooking and loved her dogs and cats. Judy’s life touched everyone who ever met her. She was always there for anyone and everyone that needed her. Judy treated everyone as family and had a passion for helping others her entire life. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by brothers Robert Kjorvestad Jr. (Janice) of South Ogden, Utah; Donald Kjorvestad (Donna) of High Point, North Carolina; Kenneth Kjorvestad (Missy) of Springfield, Missouri; and James Kjorvestad (Cheri) of Laquey Missouri, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life held at the American Legion post #5 at 15 E Platte Ave. Colorado Springs, CO 80903, on Sunday July 1st from 3-5pm.
