Julie Austin Willis, Colorado Springs, CO passed away on March 9th, 2018 at her home after a brief battle with pneumonia at age 61.
After four years of service in the United States Army, and after receiving her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, and her master’s degree from University of Arizona in the engineering program, Julie went on to work in the private sector in several government contracted positions.  She worked inside of Norad for nearly a decade.  More recently she worked with a company with a focus on satellite command and control systems.
She was passionate about family, friends, and all things related to space.
She is survived by her son, Roland Willis, mother, Jafra Austin, and Grandchildren, Julian Willis, Caitlyn Willis, Dominic Willis, and Bianca Willis.

Her celebration of life will be held at All Souls Unitarian Church, 730 N Tejon St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 at a future date.
